How to use HEIC to JPG
- Transfer the original HEIC photos to your computer and keep a backup.
- Select an image conversion task in Dropshift, add your files and choose JPG.
- Convert locally, download your JPG files and check orientation and detail.
A few useful details
HEIC and JPG use different image encodings. The conversion creates a new file for compatibility; it does not improve the source image or recover lost detail. Multiple outputs can be collected in a ZIP.
What to know first
Large batches require browser memory. Some unusual HEIC encodings may not be supported. JPG does not retain transparency.
Common questions
Does HEIC-to-JPG require an account?
The free local image workflow does not require an active Pro licence.
Can I convert a batch?
Select multiple compatible files. If a large group strains browser memory, process smaller batches.
