How to use Web tables to CSV

  1. Open a page containing a visible HTML table and load the needed rows.
  2. Select Table to CSV in Dropshift. Allow site access when Chrome requests it.
  3. Download and inspect the CSV outputs. Multiple tables are collected in a ZIP.

A few useful details

CSV keeps cell values in a simple text format. It does not preserve colors, merged-cell styling or spreadsheet formulas. Check how your spreadsheet application interprets dates, leading zeros and long identifiers.

What to know first

Images of tables, canvas grids and unloaded pages are not ordinary HTML tables. The exporter can only work with data exposed on the current page.

Common questions

Will it get every page of a paginated table?

Not automatically. The exporter works with the table content available on the current page.

Why do some values look different in Excel?

Spreadsheet apps may infer number and date formats. Import values as text when that is important for identifiers or leading zeros.

Keep your work moving.
